Splat Bear in the house!
Anyone say hey! Anyone say yo! Lol! This image is so much fun and can’t get the song out in my head!
Hello friends! It’s DT Marj and I’m back again for another fun in the house project to share with you all! Have you seen this new stamp set called Splat Bear by Rose & Roo made for Maker Forte? I am so giddy with this stamp set after receiving it in the mail. All I thought is the Splat Bear is in the House!!! It was a blast just taking a look at it! It is so freaking cute!!
For my project today, I started by creating a background. For the background, I used the Basket Weave Stencil and I decided to use an ink blending technique. As I am going for a light background, I used one of the newest members Color Hive Ink Frappe from the Color Hive Inks Collection. I was going for a full card panel background. Then decided to change course by using the mask of the Slimline SpotIight Circle Trio Stencil. This way it created a small circle that I will use for the focal image of the project. Once done, I stamped the big size Splat Bear directly onto the panel.
Next, I started coloring it using Color Hive Hyde Park Ink but it didn’t go well. So I stamped it again to a separate cardstock then colored it with my Arteza Ever Blend Ultra Art Markers. I used the colors CG06 for the sides and CG08 for the whole body. It created a light gray effect on the image. Then, I added double-sided adhesive tape to the back of the image and adhered it to the card covering the first one I color.
I know I made a wrong move but you know it’s okay to make changes if you don’t like it and believe me other crafters do that too! So don’t beat up yourself, just have fun with it! For the sentiment, I stamped it directly to the card panel using Color Hive Eclipse Black Ink. To finish it off, I cut a frame and added it on top of the card, and embellished it with some confetti. We are done!
I hope you like what I made today and be sure to head over to Maker Forte to take advantage of this adorable stamp and other products.
Thank you for stopping by and I’ll see you next time!
