Hello to all of you Maker Forte fans. This is Adam and this is the first blog post for me. I am an avid fan myself of the Maker Forte line of products. I am excited to get started with sharing my creations. My first card is inspired by the coming of Spring.

I like to start by picking a focal image or two and coloring them to see where that leads me. My focal images are from Bless This Nest by Jess Francisco. I stamp my images using Eclipse Black Remarkable Ink. It works well with Copic Markers. I used Copic alcohol markers to color these images. I generally use my Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the images but do on occasion like to fussy cut them out. Sometimes I will Google actual photographs of the focal image to get an idea of what actual creatures look like. Again I also like to go off the rails and color using non-traditional colors. So be warned that you may on occasion see colors and think what the heck?

Now that I have my focal images colored I am ready to create the background for the card. I die cut an octagon creating a frame in dark purple and again in medium purple. On the interior of the octagon I used the flower image twice to fill the space. To make it subtle I used a medium ink for stamping. I now felt the white card base needed a bit more color so I added a die cut thin frame in dark green. This is the process I use to create a card. I confess I often back up the steps and take a different path but in general this is how my mind works.
