Hello Friends and happy Saturday! Katy here with an Easter project using the new Happy Easter Stencil and the new Easter Background Stamp. I thought it would be fun to use the Color Hive Inks to create some look a like Peeps like we get in the store. For the bunnies I used Color Hive Inks in Icy Mist, Yellowstone and Bubble Tea, and if you want to make a purple Peep just use the Grape Color Hive Ink! Aren’t these the cutest!!! I created a quick video for you showing how this came together. As always if you have trouble watching here on the blog, click here to watch on Youtube.
I used some masking paper with my stencil to create a mask for each bunny and then fussy cut them out. I am using some heavyweight White Cardstock for my panel which I lined up on my stencil using the guides that are etched onto the stencil and then colored each bunny with a small blending brush. Once my coloring was done, I added my masks while my stencil was still adhered to my card panel to get everything lined up. Once my masks were adhered I then placed my panel into my stamp positioning tool and then inked up the Easter Background Stamp with some silver metallic ink to give it a bit of shimmer. I used a ghost die cut from my stash to create the eyes and mouth for each of my Peeps, aren’t they adorable!! I just love them! I want to mention the Easter Background Stamp comes with a solid block of sentiments, which is what I used for my sentiment strip. There is also a coordinating die for these sentiments and it also coordinates with the Simply Sayings Sentiment Packs.
Listed below are the products I used in todays video.
