Hello friends, Katy here and today I am sharing an easy way to stretch your supplies plus I will give you a DIY option using just a few items.
To start I am using the new Hexagon Bursts Stencil and some Color Hive Inks mixed into some Tonic Studios Moonstone Glimmer Paste. Most of us have either this paste or something similar like Gina K Designs Glitz Glitter Gel Iridescent …really you just need a clear glitter paste it doesn’t matter the brand.
Now, if you don’t have something like this, you could also make your own by using some Transparent Gloss or Transparent Matte Paste from Ranger or the Liquitex Heavy Gloss Gel (the same stuff we used in this project) and mix in some white/ translucent glitter. Once you have those mixed you can add whatever color you want to create your own colored glimmer paste.
I have a video below sharing how I created these and if you have trouble watching here on the blog you can click here to watch on Youtube.
These cards came together super quick which makes for a great last minute birthday card. For each of the cards I used a Celebrate die I had in my stash and die cut the shadow out of some foil cardstock to add just a bit more shimmer and sparkle!

I love how bright and sparkly these cards turned out. What stands out the most to me is how the Color Hive Inks don’t lose their vibrancy when mixed with the glimmer paste. I hope you enjoyed the project today and I hope you’ll give it a try.
That wraps it up for me today! Thanks so much for joining me. I hope you have a fantastic day and I will catch you next time!
