hello friends,
We will be having fun today with our creations. We will be creating cards for the comic book loving people in our lives using the fantastic Maker Forte “Bang Pam Pow” stamp set. I have paired my super hero with the “Comic Frames” paper also from the Maker Forte line.

I started this card by picking out colors for the background as well as working well with the themed paper. I felt I needed bright layers of card stock since the themed paper is black and white. I also believe art needs balance and I know my focal image is going to be bright against the black and white background. Using orange and yellow for the card base and layer one will balance the bright colors of the hero.

I picked the flying hero from the “Bang Pam Pow” set and colored him using copic markers. I used some yellow and orange along with the traditional reds and blues to make him stand out on the black and white background. This little guy is so cute and a tremendous amount of fun to color. I believe any color combination will work on the focal image as long as you tie the colors together.

The final step is to assemble the card and add a sentiment. I used a die cut greeting using the same colors of the base and layer one to further spread the colors around the card. I added a few enamel dots and the card is finished. This was a bright and cheerful card that was pretty easy to make.
Choose your colors, background paper and hero and make this layout your own. Have fun!
