Hello, this is Adam and I am creating a card to be given to a teacher. My hope is that we all want to encourage the great folks doing this job. Maker Forte has a collection of products that scream favorite student or teacher cards.

I flipped through the pad of 6×6 School Days card stock designed in collaboration with Hedgehog Hollow several times before I settled on this sheet. Knowing my card would be a standard A2 I cut the patterned paper into a layer one (5 1/4x 4 in.). I cut a black card base and a thin black frame to accentuate the paper. These pieces were glued/taped together to form the foundation of my card.

I stamped the periodical table squares that spell out teacher. I also stamped the pencil. These stamps are from the Maker Forte and Hedgehog Hollow collaboration Stamp set called Teach From the Heart. The letters were stamped in dark pink onto pink card stock. I stamped the pencil three times and colored them using Copic Markers. I had to cut away the pencils from the rest of the stamped image since all I wanted to use is the pencil.

The squares were layered onto each other then attached to the card front using foam tape to give depth to the image. Next the pencils were added with only one being attached using foam tape. The final step was to add a sub-sentiment on a co-ordinating color of paper. This sentiment is from the ‘Calming Cosmos’ Stamp Set.

I really like this stamp set because it allows us to be thoughtful and come up with many uses for these stamps. The word teach can be used to send encouraging cards on so many areas by adding a sub-sentiment. (Teach Love, etc.) I would love to see all the inspiring cards that can be made with this clever stamp set.
