Hello my crafty friends. Jackie here today with a gorgeous no-line colored floral card.
When I started out, I had no plan in mind. I was just letting the colors take me.

I started off my stamping this Alex Syberia Hugs stamp in a light gray. I just need it to be dark enough to see the lines, but not too dark to show through the colors.
Using a combination of Copic markers and colored pencils, I colored the rose in yellow. I’ve had my PrismaColor pencils for a while, but I rarely use them. Still learning how to blend them.

Next, I used my favorite greens to color a few of the leaves. I used the pencils to add highlight and shadows

Next, I move on to the magnolia flower, at least I think that’s what it is. I used a lot of colors on this flower. I wanted it to be white, but really wanted it to stand out. After I colored it I wasn’t completely happy, so I took a break and gave my eyes a rest. Sometimes, that’s all it takes. After a few hours, I came back, added a few more highlights and considered it done.
I continued coloring the second set of leaves in Y61, Y63, and G42. Then I moved on to the berries. I colored the stems with a brown colored pencil and just dotted the berries with a lavender Copic.
Once the floral coloring was done, I wanted to work on the background. Using my T-ruler, I marked all sides at ½in. I then taped off the the border and colored inside the box with B000.

I have a specific friend I plan to send this card to, so I chose Thinking of You…. sentiment from the Build a Butterfly set. I stamped the sentiment in Eclipse Black ink. Perfect impression every time.
To finish off the card, I cut about ⅛in off all 4 sides and glued it to a A2 Side Fold Perfect Fold Card Base.
