Today I made two cards that have just a few small changes. I started by stamping out the girl from To a Friend with Copic friendly black ink such as Eclipse Black ink. I set the image aside to dry slightly. Next using a 3″ x 8.5″ white card panel, I used washi tape to temporarily attach the Bouncing Ball stencil. Because my stencil is shorter than my card panel, I covered the top and bottom with some post-it tape. Then, I used some blending brushes and a pink and yellow ink from my stash at random over the stencil. I made sure to blend the two colors in some of the areas to create an orange. Next, I carefully removed the stencil and washi tape.

For my image, I used a variety of Copic to color in the hat in Pink and Yellow. I used RV02, RV04, RV06, and RV11 for the pink and Y08 and Y17 for the flowers. I believe I used E11, E21, E50 for the skin and for the hair I used E57, E23 and E11. Once I was happy with my blending, I used my scissors to fussy cut out the image on the edge of the black outline. Next, I used a black marker to run around the edge of my cut out which hides the white edges.

For my sentiment, I lined up my stenciled panel in my Original Misti and used one of the Misti Creative Corner to make sure it was straight. I chose To a Good Friend and stamped it in black ink.

For my next step, I took a piece of yellow scrap paper and inked it up with the same pink and yellow ink that I used on my stenciled panel. Next, I cut it down to about an inch and arranged it above the sentiment. Using liquid glue, I attached my colored girl above the yellow strip, tucking the bottom of my image underneath. Then, I flipped over my panel, and cut off any overhanging items. To finish my card, I attached the panel to a white slim line card that measures 8.5″ x 3.5″

I made a second card following the above steps with a few small changes. The first change is the sentiment, You Make Me Smile from the To a Friend stamp set. I also ink blended my pink and yellow on a scrap of white paper and cut it about 3/4″. The last change I made, was to add to pink slips of paper to the top and bottom of my card panel before I attached it to my card base.

I hope you enjoyed my cards, pop on over to my YouYube chanel for a video on how I made my card.
