Hello! Kari here with a new project to share today! Have you heard that the brand new paper packs from Maker Forte can be used with FOIL?!? Yes! And today, I’m going to show you how to make two cards out of one sheet of toner paper and add some Marshmallow Paste for some pop!
I love this new black and white paper pack…there are so many great designs, and they are double-sided! Well, I love black and white toner paper anyway… but this paper is extra special: it can be foiled!
I cut down a sheet of the striped black and white paper and cut it to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2.” Then, I cut some red foil and placed it on top of the paper. I used my Minc machine to foil it, but you can use a laminator, too.
Just look at the shine from that foil! Don’t throw out the negative piece of that foil because you can use that on the Toner Paper to get another use out of it!
I colored up the tree from the Bah Humbug set with Copics and added Nuvo Drops on the tree and Glitter drops to the lightning bugs. I white heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock. Isn’t that sentiment perfect to go with the glow bugs?
VIDEO: in my video, I share the secret to creating two cards with this same card panel and how to use the marshmallow paste. Watch it below or in HD on YouTube.
I also colored him up with Copics (details are in the video if you are interested) and then added some snowflakes for the snail card. Then, I popped the snail up with foam tape for dimension. I love the sentiment “Let it slow” from the stamp set! Lol. It’s a funny play on “let it snow,” which is why I decided to add some die cut snowflakes for this one.
Isn’t that snail so happy?! I love his expression!
For some extra pizzazz, I used a palette knife to add some Marshmallow Paste to his hat. I added a good amount and made it not too smooth…then I heated it with my heat tool. I only needed a FEW SECONDS to get this fluffy look on his hat!
