Hello makers! It’s Joy with you today and I’m sharing a traditional Christmas design using the Ice Bouquet stamp set. If you know me at all, you know I’m a sucker for traditional holiday color palettes and today is no different. This beautiful skate reminds me of my younger years on the ice with my Dad. We would go ice skating every Saturday and sip on hot cocoa to warm up. It makes my heart happy when my crafty stash stirs up such warm memories. I’d love to know what your favorite holiday tradition is?

I colored the Ice Bouquet with Copics, using easy blends, and the fussy cut the image to show off that amazing background stamp. I embossed the Sweater Background using Embossing Glue Ink and Snow Flurries Embossing Powder on to Telephone Box cardstock. I matted the embossed panel with gold metallic cardstock and then adhered it to an Old Hickory card base. The simple Happy Holidays sentiment is from the What’s Up Deer? stamp set and was also embossed in white. I added a few gold sequins and white gel pen to add interest, but didn’t think it needed much more.
