Hi there, crafty friends! I’m on the blog today sharing three ways to use the fabulous big and bold sentiments from the Nativity Peace, Love and Hope stamp set.

For the first card, I decided to go with a tan/kraft paper. Nothing says country Christmas to me better than tan, red and white! I started by choosing three of the Spotlight Inserts Stencil set, Collection 2. These are beautiful stencils that partner with the Spotlight Circle stencil set. I chose three of the four stencils from the Collection and layered them down the middle of the card panel. I made sure that each stencil slightly overlapped the next. Using a blending brush, I blended Tiptree Jam through the stencils. Next, using a Misti Platform, I inked up the Joy stamp using white pigment ink. White embossing powder was then applied over the pigment ink. To give the “snow” effect, I watered down opaque white ink and used a paintbrush to splatter that over the panel. The card was completed by adding twine, a bow and some pretty sequins.

Moving on to the second card, I used British Racing Green card stock. To add a background to the card, I used the large poinsettia from Alex Syberia’s Poinsettia stamp set. This stamp was inked up using clear ink and then stamped onto the green card stock. To add a little shimmer, I applied Kaleidoscope powder in Shooting Star. I chose the “Peace” sentiment for this card. The sentiment was stamped onto Metallic Snowflurries cardstock with clear embossing ink. Gold embossing powder was then applied over the clear ink. After fussy cutting, the sentiment was popped up on the card with foam tape. Celtic green jewels finished off this elegant card.

I used Distress Oxides in Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves and Scattered Straw on the third card panel. The ink blended super easy on the Perfect Blend card stock. After using an anti-static powder tool, the “Blessed” sentiment was stamped directly onto the panel using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I sprinkled some glitter embossing powder over the sentiment and heat set. To finish the background, I used one of the round stencils from the Spotlight Inserts Stencil set, Collection 2 along with Distress Ink in Salvaged Patina. I love the subtle look of this! I finished off the card using glitter drops.

I hope these cards inspire you to get creative today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
