Hello! It’s Kari and I have a couple cards from the new Under the Seashore release to share! I love this mini release, the stamps are so beautiful and inspiring. There are also some super cute stamps!

Today I have a couple sets that I think have such a fun vibe and a beautiful aesthetic.

Card 1: Mermaid in Blues

This first card is from the Ocean Borders stamp set. There is a beautiful seashell border in this set, as well as this amazing mermaid:

This is a perfect slimline stamp, although you could cut it down to fit a smaller card size. Here I stamped the top of the stamp in Blueberry Cheesecake. Then I added some icy mist to the second portion of the stamp, dabbing off some ink with my microfiber cloth so the inks would meld together and I wouldn’t get a harsh line.

Next, I inked on some Blue Raspberry ink, again dabbing away some of the ink where it met up with the other colors. Last, I inked on some Vegas Strip and stamped that down. These colors work together in a magical way!!

The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I think it rings true: I need some Vitamin SEA!

I matted this up on some Aged Antique vellum and also some Eclipse Black cardstock before adding it to the 110# white cardbase. I think the layers really add something to this card.

As a final touch, I added some clear gems and that’s it! The inks and the stamp really did most of the work for this card.

Card 2: True North Octopus

The True North stamp set has some gorgeous shells and octopus images in it, as well as a fabulous sentiment. I love the look of these designs and I really wanted to stamp a variety of colors for this card.

I started by stamping the octopus stamp in the following colors: Flat White, Vegas Strip, Blueberry Cheesecake, Blue Raspberry and Icy Mist (are you noticing a trend in my color choices for these cards?) Then I stamped the anchor with some Fog ink.

I stamped that sentiment right in the center and again added some gems. I used some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock for the mat layer.
