Slowly but surely, I’m getting my Christmas cards made. I love the look of shaker cards, but I almost always mess them up. I was really happy with the way this one came. It’s almost exactly how I imagined it would be.
I started off by cutting a circle in the center of my A2 panel. Then using the globe stamp from Window to the World set, I lined it up over the cutout circle. I only inked up the base with Eclipse Black and stamped it under the circle.

I placed the card base under the cut out and lined up the cat stamp, stamping it with Eclipse Black ink. I didn’t think the cat needed a lot of coloring, so I just added a little C01,C03, and C05 to add shadows and a hint of color.
To add a little more color to the image, I used my Iulie shimmer watercolors to paint the garland and hat. It really adds the sparkle

Now comes the hardest part for me. I glued a piece of acetate over the circle and added two layers of foam tape. I prepped the shaker circle by running my powder tool around the inside. This will hopefully take the sticky off the edges. I then added the glitter.
I’m using my Scor-Buddy to help me line up the 2 panel. I made sure the shaker panel was in the top left corner. Then I placed the card base along the left edge and pressed it down. Thankfully it lined up perfectly.

The front of the card looked unfinished. So I just grabbed my blue blender brush and ran it along the edges. I then stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Holly Berries set in red.

Until next time – Jackie ❤
