Is anyone wishing you the happiest of days on your birthday?
Hello again my friends! How about the happiest days on your birthday? This is DT Marj of MarjBanzalesDesigns and I’m back today for a new project.
Today’s project is a quick and easy birthday card using the Fabulous Flora Background Rubber Stamp.
To make this card, I started by creating the background using different Color Hive Ink Colors. I set the Fabulous Flora Rubber Stamp onto my stamping platform. Then, once it is set I decided to apply the colors by using a blending tool to avoid color contamination. I first apply the Coral Keys, followed by Bubble Tea then Hyde Park, and last but not least the Cotswold Green.
I set it aside to dry and then I sprayed it with my homemade concoction Kaleidoscope Powder with Water! To make sure it won’t smudge I used my heat tool gun and dried it. Once dry, I added a little touch of Arteza Blue Fineliner just to highlight the whole background. This is another way to set the focal point of our project.
For the sentiment, I used the “Wishing you the Happiest of Days” from the Simple Sayings – Simple Celebrations. As I don’t have the coordinating die for this sentiment, I cut it with my trimmer and then fussy cut both ends to create a tail. I added a double side adhesive to the back of the sentiment.
To assemble the card, I cut a piece of cardstock and then adhered to the A2 Top Fold Card Base with strong glue. Then , added the stamped background. For some dimension, I added a few confetti to the flower and then adhered the sentiment to the center to complete the card!
I hope you like what I made today and inspired you to make your own.
