Today I have super cute card using Maker Forte’s Kaleidoscope powders to create a shimmery patterned background. This beautiful flower was Copic colored.

Card instructions

First I created the background by stamping up the Believe In background stamp. It has a great geometric pattern to it that I thought it would lend itself to a shimmery background. I inked it up with the color hive ink glue, and then put small amounts of different kaleidoscope powders around the stamped image.

I used the brush tool to brush off the excess and was remained was this gorgeous background that shimmers has you move it in the light.

I sealed with with a matte protectant. Just briefly spray it from about a foot away. I got a little too close in one spot and it smeared the powder. But never fear, I hid that little imperfection with my stamped image.

I colored the beautiful flower with some pink copic colors to let it pop off the blue background.

I used my silhouette cameo pix scan to scan in the image and create an offet so I could cut out the halo image. Then cut a halo out of vellum. This gives a nice soft background between the colored image and the shimmery background.

Then I popped the entire image with some foam dots.

I used the sentiment from the watercolor hearts “With Love” and did the same technique with the kaleidoscope powders as I did with the background.

I finished the card with some beautiful rhinestones.
