Hi Krafty Friends, Jen from Katahdin Krafts, back on the blog today with this cute mini slimline card. It’s Christmas in July here at Maker Forte, and needed to play with this adorable gingerbread stamp set designed by Alex!

When creating my card I wanted to keep the gingerbread vibe going. So I selected a craft cardstock for my card panel and cut it 5 5/8″ x 2 5/8″. Next, I stamped the background village image from Maker Forte’s “Gingerbread Village” stamp set directly onto my card panel, with a dark brown ink. Then I layered the detailed village image on top of my background with my Color Hive clear embossing ink, and added white embossing powder to give it the “icing” look. I stamped the sentiment “You’re so sweet” and added a couple of peppermint candy swirl embellishments for a little color. For my card base I cut a dark brown piece of cardstock 6″ x 6″ and scored at the 3″ mark to get a 6″ x 3″ base. I heat embossed another cute little house inside the card for that extra surprise!

This set was so much fun to play with! I hope you check out all the Christmas in July release you will not be disappointed, and what a great way to get a jump start on the busy holiday season! Until next time, Happy Krafting!
